Associazione Giochi Antichi focuses its attention on game as a complex cultural system, and on the player’s self-awareness.

It supports and encourages players of any gender, class, background, and age to discover the pleasure of sharing and learning new games; through various events, it offers the opportunity to discover the history of the game, and to learn how to build game tools.

The Association also provides the opportunity to talk about environmental sustainability and especially about the preservation of traditional games, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Heritage of Humanity in the International Charter on Traditional Sports and Games in 2003.

In the Association’s headquarters, Casa Colombare, players can also relax and read books and magazines on traditional game.
