Traditional Games

In recent years we have had the opportunity to learn and study different varieties of games coming from Italy and from all over the world.

While the term 'traditional game' is often associated with elderly people, our research shows that it is now popular amongst younger generations. We divided our country’s traditional games according to game variety. A game variety is formed by games with a similar tradition and which make use of similar equipment. We tried to avoid categorizations according to physical movements, in order to highlight the link between traditional game and territory.
